Doing life alongside the persecuted Yezidis of Northern Iraq inside a 20,000 person refugee camp.

For her safety and ours, let's call her Marcella. Finally rescued today from Syria after months of tough negotiations. Her story will be the same as all the other Yezidi girls who were kidnapped from their agricultural villages in Sinjar, stripped of jewelry and dignity, and carted off to the slave markets in Syria. 

She is only 20 but her four year history of atrocities forced upon her, and her survival will fill a book. 

Marcella is on her way home. Now, thats a tough word, she has no family. She has no home. She will return to a tent with a matress. 

And that's precisely where we are asking for your help. To sponsor Marcella for one year, so that she can get medical tests, buy clothes, and eat....We are asking for a 12 month commitment of $60 per month, so that she can get back on her feet. 

Four years of her life, can never be restored. Physical, emotional and mental anguish can never be wiped out. We can however be there for her, to help her on the road to gradual healing and normalisation.
