Spring Break Vacations

Unless you’re a wild and crazy college student, spring break and destinations where wild college students congregate, should be avoided. Spring break usually happens between the end of February and the middle of April. What this means is there a lot of vacationing college students, beach parties a crazy entertainment aimed at young people.

If you’re planning a vacation during your child’s spring and you’re going someplace like Disney World, you are going to want to plan for it far in advance. Make sure that your airline reservations and seat assignments are within your grasp, because you don’t want to get bumped off of a fully loaded plane at the last minute. Make hotel accommodations for Disney at least a year in advance, especially if you’re doing it during spring break season. Be prepared to wait and bring a book so that you’re not waiting with nothing to do in long airport lines. Get toys and games for your children so that they don’t drive you crazy in the airport or during the flight. Be sure and bring chewing gum for the flight, because altitude makes kids crazy.

When it comes to weather, there’s not really much you can do. Hurricane season, if you’re going to the Caribbean, happens from June 1 to the end of November with the greatest risk for storms between August and October. Knowing this, you are going to want to plan your vacation at a time when hurricanes are not blowing through your vacation paradise.

Local holidays should also be considered, when you’re going to various cities. For instance, if you’re going to Europe during Easter, Italians tend to flock to resorts. So you will have a jam-packed experience if you during that period. Between March and May, there also busloads of children who take excursions to various artistic and historical interests. All of this should be taken into consideration when you’re planning your vacation, so that you can get the best experience possible for your money and time.

If you travel abroad to Europe, you going to want to take into account how the Europeans are traveling as well. For instance, you don’t want to go to an Italian beach in August, because there won’t be any room for you or your child. Beaches are full to capacity because Italians tend to take their vacations between June and September.

However, from the middle of July to August, you’ll find that Paris is almost abandoned. It’s hot and stuffy, but most of the locals tend to travel to the beach so you’ll have the city to yourself. You need to shop around and surf the Internet to find out when it’s best for you to go to the destination where you want to take your vacation. Each vacation destination has a different set of criteria, and knowing that will help you plan your time when you can have the best experience of your life.
